Bio

• Dr. Xiaolei Xie is an associate professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering, Tsinghua University. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering in May 2014 from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. During the Ph.D. study, Dr. Xie worked on the inpatient emergency assistance in the Center for Science of Healthcare Delivery of Mayo Clinic. His research interests include healthcare operations management, EMR data mining, and policy analysis based on system science. Dr. Xie is currently the associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, a member of the Expert Committee of the National Health Commission on data application of hospital quality monitoring system, and the expert group member of the National Health Insurance Bureau on DRG payment pilot.
